Safeguarding

We take our safeguarding responsibilities very seriously and we try to work with parents and carers and local safeguarding services to ensure that the safety of children is of paramount importance.

The Children Act 1989 places a clear responsibility on school to ensure they work together with other agencies to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of all children. As a result, if concerns are raised within the school or a child or parent reports a situation involving possible abuse the school has a duty to inform the local Social Services Team Manager.

At Anlaby Primary School Mr Gareth May and Miss Taylor Wood are the members of staff responsible for Child Protection.

Any person employed to work with children in our school is expected to be cleared by a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).
