Art and Design Intent Statement
At Anlaby Primary School, we believe art enriches children’s lives by giving them the opportunity to be creative and to express themselves through the arts. We aim to expose our children to a wide range of techniques, materials and processes through our well-structured curriculum. Our art and design programme of study aims to engage, inspire and challenge our pupils through a carefully planned cross-curricular approach. At our school, children have the opportunity to study the work of a range of other artists and designers. Through this study, we hope they will gain an appreciation of art history and how styles have changed over time.
